Question
I have an old stock certificate dated 9/27/67 for 15 shares of Fargo Oils Ltd (#NYF33592).  Is there a way to find out if they have any value.  Thank you.

Answer
From the information I have available, the company merged into Reserve Oil %26 Gas on the basis of 43 new shares for every 100 old shares. I don't know what ultimately happened to Reserve, but usually when the exchange ratio is given in terms of 100 share blocks, all holders with under 100 shares are wiped out in the exchange and given nominal cash instead of new shares. Chances are the 15 shares were never exchanged for any Reserve shares, but you should contact a broker and see if they can perform a more detailed search for you.
