Question
I am dealing with my father estate and have come across the following stock certificates issued from E.A. Manning.
Rusty Lake Resources
Ekersal Resources
Empire Alliance Properties
I understand MANNING IS LONG OUT OF business BUT HAVE ANY OF THE ABOVE STOCKS HAVE VALUE ,OR IS IT GOOD TO START A WINTER FIRE WITH.
Thanks

Stephen

Answer
From the information I have available;

Rusty Lake became Seven Seas Petroleum, which went bankrupt. No value for shareholders.

Ekersval (Eskersval with a "v" - I cannot find an "Ekersal" )did a 1 for 3 reverse split and became Maxill. Maxill was delisted by the TSX in 2003, but the company is still around (even though the stock does not trade in any market). The contact info the company is:

John Shaw
80 Elm Street
St. Thomas, Ontario
N5R 6C8

519 631-7370
info@maxill.com

Empire Alliance was suspended by the OSC and stopped trading in 2001. That is also approximately when they stopped filing their required financial information with Ontario.
