Question
Our aging uncle found 40 shares of Fleet Aerospace Corporatoin that he had purchased on October 1, 1986.

Are they worth anything?
If they are to whom should we contact

Answer
Ken, there is some current value to the stock but, unfortunately, it is probably not enough to pay for the cost of reorganizing and selling it at the current stock price.

The Company did a 1 for 5 reverse stock split and became Magellan Aerospace, which later did another 1 for 5 reverse split. The stock trades for about $2.65 on the TSX, but taking into account the reverses, your uncle's 40 shares of Fleet is now 1 or 2 shares of Magellan. You need to contact the current transfer agent, Computershare (www.computershare.com) to confirm this information and possibly reorganize the old shares.
