Recently found some receipts of stocks purchased by my late father in 1984 with a company called Northfield Petroleum Corporation.  400 units is there any value to these.

Sean, at the current time, there is no current value to the shares as there is no current market.

Northfield became Zamora Gold in 1994. Zamora is currently cease-traded and suspended, and the shares do not trade. I believe the transfer agent for the Company is Computershare (www.computershare.com). I suggest you contact them and see if they still have your father as a shareholder, so if the company does ever return to trading, you can extract any value from the ownership.
