My elderly mother asked me to check the value of her Amcana Gold Mines Ltd. shares purchased in 1961.  My research shows several ownership changes. I believe the last one to be Comstock/Ainsworth Mines Ltd.  The original transfer agent is Guaranty Trust Company of Canada now TD Canada Trust.

Phyllis, from the information I have available, the shares have no value. The Company was dissolved in 1973. In regards to Comstock/Ainsworth, there was no company by that name. Comstock/Ainsworth is an area of British Columbia that includes a past producing gold mine, but I don't believe it has any relationship to Amcana. If you have any additional information, I can look into it.
