Question
I have held certificates for 3000 fully paid shares in Commercial Industrial Minerals Limited since 1986. Do you know anything about this Canadian registered company, whether it is still trading, and if the shares now have any value? The National Trust Company of Toronto are given as the transfer agents and registrars.

Answer
Unfortunately, from the information I have available, the shares have no current value. The Company did several capital and name changes (a 1 for 9 reverse split, then a 2 for 3) and became Blue Gold International, which ventured into shellfish farming. That did not work out, and the stock was suspended, cease-traded and delisted in 2001.
