Answer
Carl, from the information I have available:

The Quebec North has no value. It had its charter cancelled in 1974.

The De Ville has no value. It had its charter cancelled in 1970.

The Gilgreer and Penn-Cobalt became the same company. They were both acquired by Cobalt Consolidated Mining on the basis of 1 Cobalt Consolidated for every 12 shares of Gilgreer and 1 for 13 Penn-Cobalt. Cobalt Consolidated was acquired by Agnico Mining on the basis of 10 Agnico for every 35 Cobalt shares. Agnico later became Agnico Eagle, which currently trades for about $69 per share on the TSX and NYSE. You need to contact the current transfer agent, Computershare (www.computershare.com) to see if the shares are valid and even if they can still be exchanged.
