Question
I have found a stock certificate for Old Smokey Oil & Gas Limited for 500 shares purchased in 1952. Is this company still in business or has it been merged into another company? It was purchased through Newburger,Loeb and Company in New York, and registered by The Guaranty Trust Company of Canada.

Frank, from the information I have available, the company did a massive 1 for 100 reverse stock split and became Largo Oils & Mines around 1967. That is all the information I have. Since Guaranty Trust is no more, I suggest you contact a broker and see if they can perform a search to find out what ultimately happened to the shares.
