Question
Hi Steven:
My mom recently found some old stock certificates that were my dad's and we are wondering about them. Western-Buff Mines & Oils Ltd. Dated Feb. 1972; and, Croydon Mines Ltd. Dated Mar. 1972. Can you tell me anything about them? My mom says she didn't even know Dad had them, and she died over 25 years ago. Thank you for your help.

Answer
Barb, from the information I have available:

Western-Buff has no value. The Company was dissolved in 1977.

Croyden went through several name changes and capital changes (a 1 for 10 reverse split, then a 1 for 3 reverse, then a 14 for 13 forward) and became Silverado Gold Mines. Silverado currently trades on the OTCBB for less than 1 cent per share. You can find more at http://www.silverado.com/
