Question
Hello I received share certificates for Red crest gold mines, central asbestos mines, Anthonian mining corporations Ltd, Bargold mines limited and Glencona mining company all between 1946-55 ..... 11,300 in total shares .  Do they have any value beside being nice to look at.

Thank
Wendy

Answer
Wendy, from the information I have available:

Red Crest has no value. It was dissolved in the late 1950's.

Central Asbestos has no value. It was dissolved in the mid-1970's.

Anthonian has no value. It was dissolved in the early 1980's.

Bargold went through numerous name changes and at least 2 reverse splits (1 for 4 and 1 for 3) and became Goldstone, which was acquired in August of this year by Premier Gold on the basis of 0.16 of a Premier common share and 0.01 cent cash for each Goldstone share held. Premier trades for about $5.25 a share on the TSX. You will need to contact their transfer agent, Equity (www.equityfinancialtrust.com) to get the old shares reorganized into the new shares.

Glencona has no current value - it had a reverse split and a name change before being dissolved in the early 1970's.
