Question
I have a stock certificate from 1979 for VGM Trustco Limited.  Do you know if it has any value and if yes, hot to redeem it.

John, from the information I have available, the company went through numerous name changes and ended as National Trustco, which was acquired by the Bank of Nova Scotia (Scotiabank) in 1997. The terms varied, but were essentially $26.475 cash plus 1/8 of a Scotia common share.
