Canadian Stocks/stocks bought in 1984

Question
In 1984 I purchased 1000 shares from Gordon-Daly Grenadier Limited, a broker, I assume which is no longer in business.

The stocks were Northfield Petroleum Corporation, incorporated under the Laws of the Province of Ontario.  I recall calling them about 1994 and heard some gold mine bought them out and they were worth not much more than 250$.  I have just found the share documents, which were given in those days and would like to know if they are worth anything.

Will you kindly tell me, or let me know whom I would contact to find this information.

Thanks, Dr. Peter B. Ivanonkiv, Belle River, On, Canada, N0R 1A0, Phone:  519 7282091 or .  I would appreciate a response.

Answer
Dr. Ivanonkiv, from the information I have available:

Northfield did a 1 for 5 reverse stock split and became Zamora Gold. Zamora was involved in mineral exploration in Ecuador, but ran into problems and was cease-traded by Ontario in 2003 and the stock suspended from trading. The company continued to live, however, until at least 2010 when they announced that Ecuador had expropriated all of their assets in the country, which also represented all of the company's assets. At that time they stopped filing their required regulatory information and disappeared.

At least for now, the shares have no current value.
