Question
My father passed recently and in his belongings I found three stock certificates for Bonwitha Mining totalling 500 shares. The certificate numbers are 1925, 100 shares dated June 8, 1961; 2018, 200 shares dated July 20, 1961 and 2290, 200 shares dated October 25, 1961.  They are signed by a person with the last name 'Evans'.  They were issued by "The Premier Trust Company, Toronto".  The certificates are in mint condition with clean backs.  Do these certificates have any value?

Answer
Unfortunately, from the information I have available, the shares have no current value. The Company had its charter cancelled in 1971. However, since the certificates are so clean, you might consider selling them as art to share collectors. You can find a market online by searching for "old stock certificates".
