Question
My deceased husband had a stock certificate issued by Golden Eagle Capital Corp. ( incorporated under the laws of the province of Ontario) and dated 1994.   Is this company still in existence and do the shares have any value?

Answer
Barb, from the information I have available, I do not believe the shares have any current value.

The Company became Golden Eagle Capital, which did a 1 for 30 reverse split and became Points North Digital. Points North became Peragis, which was delisted and cease-traded in 2001. Those cease-trade orders remain in effect, but the company applied for an amendment to those orders in 2008 in order to try to reactivate the company. I have yet to see any tangible evidence (such as filing their long past due regulatory information) they have made any progress towards a return to trading, so at the moment, there is no market for the shares.
