I HAVE A CERTIFICATE FOR 20 SHARES OF JASCAN STOCK DATED JULY 7, 1993. I UNDERSTAND THE COMPANY HAS BEEN MERGED/SOLD(MAYBE MORE THAN ONCE). CAN YOU TELL ME IF THIS STOCK HAS ANY VALUE AND WHO TO CONTACT IF IT DOES.
Robert, from the information I have available, Jascan was acquired by Breakwater in 2000. Ratio was 0.55 Breakwater for 1 share of Jascan. Breakwater trades on the TSX for about $6.60 per share. You will need to contact the current transfer agent, Computershare (www.computershare.com) to determine value and get the old shares reorganized.
