Question
My husband purchased several shares in this company April 12 1990 through Montreal Trust and still holds the certificate.  I have investigated and found that Montreal Trust was acquired by ScotiaBank who then sold the assets to Computershare.  I have been advised that this company then went through two name changes in the 1990's but then the equity was transferred from Computershare to Equity Transfer Services. I am now at a dead end but would really appreciate anything that you can tell me about exactly what happened to this company and if the shares are still valid.  Thank you.

Answer
Elaine, from the information I have available, the company has had at least 2 reverse stock splits (a 1 for 4 and a 1 for 6) and is now World Wide Inc. World Wide is barely still alive, since they have no operations, no assets, and the stock trades nowhere. But, I suggest you contact the current transfer agent, Heritage Transfer Agency. I can't find any web address for Heritage, but I believe their contact information is:

4 King Street West, Suite 1320, Toronto, ON M5H 1B6.
Phone: 416-364-9509
