I bought 100shares from 'Holberg Mines Ltd" (copper mine) on April 14, 1965 from Guaranty Trust, at 624 Howe Street in Vancouver BC.  Share #1302.  

Whould there be any hope at a current value?

Joan, from the information I have available, the Company did two reverse splits (a 1 for 4, then a 1 for 10) and is now Century Energy, which trades for about 5 cents per share on the Venture Exchange. Considering the reverse splits, your original 100 shares would now be just 2 shares worth about 10 cents. I suggest you contact the current transfer agent, Olympia Trust (www.olympiatrust.com) to confirm this information.
