Question
Hello Steven,

A relative purchased shares for me in the following companies: Early Bird Mines LTD, CDR Resources Inc., Bulora Corporation Limited, Jamie Frontier Resources Inc., and the Mosquito Creek Gold Mining Company Limited.  I am having difficulty locating some of the transfer agents.  Are you aware if any of the companies are still operational and of any value?

Answer
Wendy, from the information I have available:

Early Bird did a 1 for 3 reverse stock split and became Euro American Financial. Euro American was suspended, cease-traded and delisted in 1986.

CDR was dissolved in 1991.

Bulora was cease-traded in 1977. Those cease trade orders are still in effect.

Jamie Frontier was cease-traded in 1990, and those orders remain in effect. However, the company appears to have still had its properties and was joint-venturing them to other companies as recently as 2005. There is no trading in the stock, however.

Mosquito Creek did a 1 for 5 reverse and became Mosquito Consolidated. It is still around, and trades on the TSX Venture for about 96 cents per share. You will need to contact the current transfer agent, Computershare (www.computershare.com) in regards to your current holdings.
