Canadian Stocks/Old Canadian share certs for probate

Question
Hi,

I have a number of Canadian share certificates that I've been trying to find out if they have any value for probate, without much success.  They are:

Dencroft Mines Limited, 1956
Quebec Labrador Development Company Limited, 1951
Beaument Oils Limited, 1929
St. Anthony Mines Limited, 1945
Sullivan Mines Inc., 1987

Any assistance you could give would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Stephen

Answer
Stephen, from the information I have available:

Dencroft was dissolved in the 1960's. No value.

Quebec Labrador went through several changes, but the resulting company had its charter cancelled. No value.

I have no information on Beaument, although 1929 pre-dates much of the information I have available.

St. Anthony went through several changes and reverse splits and became Visa Gold. Visa ran into serious trouble on several fronts, including with securities regulators, and was suspended, delisted, and cease-traded in 2003. Those cease-trade orders remain in effect.

Sullivan was acquired by Cambior in 1987. Shareholders received preferred shares, which were later redeemed for $7.50 per share cash.
