Question
Hi Steve
checking on more old stock certificates from dad's collection.  Pacific Silver Mines & Oils Ltd - 1973
Blue Star Mines Limited - 1969 Consolidated Silver Butte Mines Ltd.(N.P.L.) - 1981 And Stampede Oils Inc - 1989.  Can you please tell me if they have any value?
Thanks

Answer
Paul, from the information I have available:

Pacific Silver has no value. The Company was struck from the corporate register in 1978.

Blue Star has no value. It was struck in 1980.

Consolidated Silver Butte became Silver Butte, which did a 1 for 3 reverse to Uniterre, which later changed its name to Naikun Wind Energy. Naikum trades for about 22 cents per share. You will need to contact the current transfer agent, Computershare (www.computershare.com) about getting the old shares reorganized.

Stampede was cease-traded and delisted in 2003 after they went bankrupt.
