Question
Are stocks and bonds from Starlight mines limited dated June 1955 of any value? Also Canadian Kirland Mines Limited Oct. 1932/33.
One other is August Porcupine Gold Limited Dec 1950.
Thank you in advance for your time.

Answer
Trudy, from the information I have available:

The Starlight has no value. The company lost its corporate charter in the late 1960's.

August Porcupine has no value. The company went through numerous name changes and became Battery Technologies, which went bankrupt and was delisted in 2003.

Canadian Kirkland went through at least 2 reverse stock splits (1 for 10, followed by another 1 for 10) and ended as Selient Inc., which was acquired for 17.2526 cents per share cash in December 2007. Assuming the certificate is large enough to have any cash, and the shares are in your name so you can collect, you can search the missing property office of every State or Province in which you lived from the date you acquired the certificates until the buyout. You can search many of them online for free at www.missingmoney.com and www.naupa.org.
