Steve, from the information I have available, the company later changed its name to Chessminster, which was later acquired by Pyrok Group PLC, a UK company. Pyrok was cease-traded in Canada in 1990, an order which remains in effect, but I don't know what ultimately happened to Pyrok back in the UK. I suggest you contact a broker and see if they can provide you with additional information as I don't follow UK companies.
