Question
In Grandfather's paperwork found stocks in Brenmore Quebec Mines Ltd. (1969); Hasaga Gold Mines Ltd. (1940); Jaculet Mines Ltd. (1949); Nacada Gold Mining Co. Ltd. (1934);and New Barber-Larder Mines Ltd. (1942).  Can you tell me anything about them?

Answer
Laurie, from the information I have available:

Brenmore has no value. The Company was dissolved in 1979.

Hasaga became Little Long Lac Gold (basis 1 new for 20 old), which later became LAC Minerals (2.377 LAC for 1 old). LAC was acquired by Barrick (0.487 Barrick for 1 share LAC). You need to contact Barrick's current transfer agent, CIBC Mellon (www.cibcmellon.com) and see if the old shares were valid.

Jaulet is very complicated, and split into 2 companies, both of which eventually became Patino Mines. Patino may have been acquired by a Dutch firm in the early 1980's. I don't know if shareholders received any value, or if the Dutch firm is still around, so a more detailed search is required. I suggest you contact a broker and see if they can perform a more detailed search.

I have no information on Nacada, although the stock predates much of the information I have available.

New Barber has no value. The Company was dissolved and shareholders received no value.
