Question
I found in family papers a certificate of 500 shares of Duparquet Mining Company and 100 shares of Greenlee Mines Limited (this one may have change name to Athona mines?).

Does that worth anything?

Answer
From the information I have available:

Duparquet has no value. The company had its charter cancelled in the mid-1970's.

Greenlee has done at least 2 reverse splits, a 1 for 8 and then a 1 for 3.5. They became Lakota Resources, which was suspended, cease-traded and delisted in 2009. It looked at the time they would go bankrupt, but they were rescued and have now filed their delinquent regulatory information and are trying to return to trading shortly. You will need to contact the current transfer agent, Alliance Trust (www.alliancetrust.ca) about your old shares.
