Question
I have old stocks and would like to know if they are still active?
Oneida energy & Resources Corporation  1980
Golden Bounty Mining Company Limited   1980
Nolan Lake Explorations Inc.           1979
Phaeton Exploration Ltd.               1979
Greenwich Lake Explorations Ltd.       1978

Answer
From the information I have available:

Oneida did several reverse splits and name changes and ended as United Pacific Capital, which was suspended and cease-traded in 2001. They also stopped their regulatory filings at that time, as I see no effort to return to compliance and resume trading.

Golden Bounty had 3 reverse splits (a 1 for 8, then another 1 for 8, then a 1 for 30) and is now Enterprise Energy, which trades on the TSX Venture for about 68 cents per share. The transfer agent is Equity Financial (http://equityfinancialtrust.com/)

Nolan Lake did 2 reverse splits (a 1 for 5, then a 1 for 10) and is now White Pine, which trades on the Venture for about 59 cents a share. The agent is also Equity Financial.

Phaeton went through several name changes and ended as Conrex Steel. As part of a reorganization, they gave shareholders the option to either redeem their common shares for 92 cents per share or convert them to new Class A shares of Conrex. The majority (90%) opted for the redemption. I believe those that did not redeem were converted to new Class A shares of the Conrex Steel. With the redemption, Conrex was able to delist from the Toronto Stock Exchange and go private. Therefore, even though Conrex Steel is still around, the shares are not traded. I suggest you try to contact Conrex directly through http://www.conrexsteel.com/ If you are still listed as a shareholder, they should be able to help you.

The Greenwich has no current value. They did a 1 for 3 reverse and became Chelsea Resources, which was dissolved in the early 1990's.
