Question
Hi! I've gone through 20 pages of questions & answers to see if this company was mentioned, but have started going cross-eyed. I have done a bit of research on my own and found that San Antonio and the other Rice Lake mines were bought out by San Gold, but I have no idea whether they will pay anything for old San Antonio stocks. I figure they're probably worthless or my father or grandfather would have dealt with them before this, but just thought you might be able to confirm my suspicions. Thanks!

Answer
Sue, from the information I have available, the shares have no current value. The Company was dissolved in the early 1970's.

Mineral properties change hands often. Because of the high cost (taxes and annual exploration expenditure requirements), it is extremely rare for a company to hang on to an undeveloped or non-producing property for very long. San Gold may have the properties now, but it is likely that there were numerous holders between 1970 and today.
