Question
MY FATHER PURCHASE 50 SHARES FROM OKALTA OILS  CALGARY CANADA
11-30-1958  CAN YOU PLEASE TELL US IF THERE IS ANY VALUE
WE APPRECIATE YOUR HELP

Answer
David, from the information I have available, Okalta did a 1 for 7 reverse split and became Oakwood Resources. Oakwood was acquired by Sceptre Resource and shareholders of Oakwood received 0.179 of a Sceptre share for each share of Oakwood. Sceptre was acquired by Canadian Natural in 1996, and shareholders received 0.38 of a Canadian Natural share for each Sceptre share. Since the Canadian Natural acquisition would have dropped your father's position to below 1 share, they would have issued him cash for the fractional share - around $3. If he did not receive it, you can try searching the missing property offices of each State or Province in which he lived. You can search many of them online for free at www.missingmoney.com and www.naupa.org.
