Question
In my late fathers' papers, I found these two certificates and I am having trouble finding out about them, and I need to know for the estate.  One certificate is from "Great Pine Mines Ltd." Incorporated in Ontario; dated Feb 2, 1966 & "Krippen & Company Inc.," may be the broker.
The second is "Peace River Petroleums Ltd", dated March 5, 1969; Incorporated in B.C. Also stamped on the certificate is "countersigned and registered Guaranty Trust Company of Canada, Vancouver, B.C. Transfer Agent and Registrar.
Are they worth anything? Or who would I contact regarding them? Thank you. (Among my searching,Suncor could not find anything about them).

Answer
Dorothy, from the information I have available:

Great Pine has no value. The Company was dissolved in the mid-1970's.

Peace River has no current value. The company went through several reverse splits and name changes and ended as Cheyenne Petroleum, which went into receivership and was cease-traded and delisted in 1989.
