Question
While cleaning up my basement I found some of my late mother's papers.  Among them was a statement from Canarim Investment Coporation showing my mother with 1000 shares of Kenergy Resource Corporation, as well as a form letter to shareholders from company president E.G.(Ted) Kennedy; circa 1982.  Does this company still exist?  Are these shares of any value?

Answer
Stu, from the information I have available, the Company went through numerous name changes and at least 2 reverse stock splits (a 1 for 5 and a 1 for 4) and became Interquest Incorporated. Interquest ran into trouble with regulators due to their failure to file their audited financial statements in 2006 and were cease-traded and prohibited from trading. Those cease trade orders from 2007 remain in effect, which means there is no current market for the stock.

The last listed transfer agent was Equity (www.equityfinancialtrust.com). You might contact them and see if they have any additional information.
