QuestionI am a Texas solo attorney trying to help a friend with a 90 year old relative. However, I am uncomfortable asking for free information. Can I compensate you somehow particularly if the shares happen to be worth something? The shares are:
Queenston Gold Mines Limited issued 11/26/47; Garrron Mines Limited issued 2/37; Potterdoal Mines Limited 8/8/36; Crescent Kirkland Gold Mines Limited 5/18/37; Columbus Kirkland Gold Mining Company 11/16/27; Onea Copper Syndicate 2/8/30; Kerranda Gold Mining Syndicate 10/27/37; East Lacoma Mines, Limited 3/22/38; Minaura Mines, Limited 3/37; Lartic Mines, LTD., Morris Kirkland Gold Mines limited; Holtyrex Gold Mines limited; Hislop Mines Limited.
Any information would me appreciated. I only wish she had invested in Ford.

AnswerWeston, these shares are very old, and unfortunately many of them predate the information I have available.
Queenston merged with another company and became Queenston Mining Inc. Queenston Gold Mine shareholders received 0.434 of a Queenston Mining share for each 1 share of Queenston Gold. Queenston currently trades for about $6.25 a share. The current transfer agent is Equity Financial Trust (

I have no information on Garron Mines.
Potterdoal did a 1 for 10 reverse and became New Potterdoal, which later was dissolved and had its charter cancelled. No current value.
Crescent Kirkland has no value. The Company was dissolved and had its charter cancelled.
I have no information on Columbus Kirkland.
I have no information on any syndicates. True syndicates were not publicly traded, and were formed under special laws to allow the sale of interests to friends and family. There were usually very limited in number of participants (usually 10 to 100) and were set up to explore a specific property or area. When the money was gone, the syndicate usually closed and didn't always report their status back to the Province of Incorporation, but you should check with the Province and see if they have any information.
I have no information on East Lacoma.
I have no information on Minaura.
Lartic Mines was dissolved in the 1950's. No current value.
Morris Kirkland was dissolved in the 1970's. No current value.
Holtyrex was dissolved in the 1950's. No current value.
Hislop was dissolved in 1960. No current value.
