Question
We bought 100 gold stocks thru E. A. Manning Limited in 1976 and recently came across them.  How can we find out if they are worth anything now?  We never received any further info from them. Does the company still exist under another name maybe or is the broker even in business?

Linda, from the information I have available, the shares have no value. The Company changed names twice and ended as HWI Industries, which was dissolved in the late 1980's.

E.A. Manning is finally gone. After a long fight, the Ontario Securities Commission finally got them thrown out of the business for rigging stock prices of shares sold to customers.
