Question
I am looking to see if the following Stock Certificates are still active or if they contain no value. The 3 Certificates are, "Alaska Canadian Corporation" (issued 1967), "URSA Polaris Developments Corporation" (issued 1969), and "Jubilant Eagle Holdings and Explorations Limited" (issued 1968).

I thank you for all your help with regards to this.

Answer
Summer, from the information I have available:

I have no information on Alaska Canadian. If there is a transfer agent listed on the certificate, you should contact them first as they will know if there shares have value. You can also try the Province of Incorporation and see what information they have, or contact a broker and ask them to perform a detailed search for you.

The only reference to URSA Polaris is as a Private Company out of Calgary, which may or may not be the same one, but the name is the same. It is entire possible they sold shares privately years ago and just never graduated to being a publicly traded company. They were around at least as of a year ago, as they optioned several mineral exploration properties they owned to a public company, Merc International Minerals. I suggest you try to find an address or phone number in Calgary for them.

Jubliant has no current value. The Company was dissolved in 1980.
