Question
I recently came accross 500 shares (which I forgot having) in the name of Laverty Industrial Development Ltd.   They are dated March 2nd 1994.   There is also a number in the top left column C03683.   Ii a box on the right the following is printed:   CUSIP   51945L  10  4.     I am anxious to know if these are worth anything and, if so, how much and how do I go about getting them sold.    Thanks for your anticipated help.    Bob LONG.

Answer
Bob, from the information I have available, the Company went through a couple of name changes and capital changes (1 for 15 reverse split, and a merger on the basis of .87 new for 1 old) and is now TransAtlantic Petroleum, which trades on the TSX and AMEX for about $1.30 per share.

Based on your original 500 shares, you should now have about 28 or 29 shares of TransAtlantic. You will need to contact the current transfer agent, Computershare (www.computershare.com) who can determine if your old certificate is valid and, if so, can reorganize them into the new shares.
