Canadian Stocks/stock cert validation
Expert: Steven Taylor - 2/4/2012
QuestionI am trying to find value, if any to several stock certs. They are as follows:
Regcourt Gold Mines Limited
Rouyn Reward Gold Mines Limited
Head of the Lakes Iron Limited
Martin-Bird Gold Mines Limited
Colomar Yellowknife Mines Limited
I was reading an old post about Lynx-Yellowknife and that was very valuable and spurred my interest. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Doug
AnswerDoug, from the information I have available:
Regcourt changed names at least 6 times and had some major capital changes (1 for 5, then 1 for 10, then 21 for 1000, then 1 for 34.2631) and ended as SMED International, which was acquired for $24 per share cash in 2000. Due to the huge number of capital changes and consolidations, I doubt your original Regcourt certificate had enough shares to make it to the cash buyout position.
Rouyn Reward was dissolved in the late 1950's. No current value.
Head of the Lakes went through at least 3 name changes and two reverse splits and ended as Concord Capital, which went into receivership in 1991 and was subsequently delisted and cease traded. No current value.
Martin-Bird has no current value. The Company had its charter cancelled in the late 1970's.
For the Colomar Yellowknife, was that a typo and you meant "Colomac Yellowknife"? If so, there is no value. The Company reverse split many times and ended as CPI Plastics, which went bankrupt.
