Question
I have old Share Certificates for Terrex Mining Company Ltd, Stairs Explorations and Mining company Ltd, and Miro Mines Limited, all purchased in the 1970's.  How do I determine if they have any value, and if I need to hire a company to do this, how do I choose a reputable one?

Thank-you.

Answer
Joan, from the information I have available:

Terrex has no current value. The Company had its charter cancelled and was dissolved in the mid-1970's.

Stairs has no current value. It went through several name changes and at least 1 reverse split (1 for 10) and was cease-traded and delisted in 2000. That cease-trade order remains in effect.

Miro has no current value. The Company also had its charter cancelled and was dissolved in the mid-1970's.
