Canadian Stocks/Old Stock certificates

In going through my parents papers upon their passing, I came across three old stock certificates. I'm curious as to whether they're worth anything.
1) Orofino Mine Ltd.
2) Utah Resources International, Inc.
3) Consolidated Orofino Resources Ltd.

Any info you can give me would be helpful.
Many thanks.

Sydney, from the information I have available:

Orofino and Consolidated Orofino are the same. Orofino had a 1 for 4 reverse split and changed its name. Chances are they just sent your parents the new certificate and cancelled the old one without requiring it be sent to the Transfer Agent. Regardless, the shares have no current value. They went through numerous additional name changes and reverse splits and ended as Central Asia Goldfield, which was suspended and cease-traded in 1999. Those cease-trade orders remain in effect.

Utah Resources was not a Canadian company, and therefore I have no information. They were an SEC filer until they terminated registration in 1999, which is always a very bad sign as companies that continue in business do not terminate registration. From a web search, they might still be around. Try contacting them at:
