I have recently come across the two attached documents that were passed along to me by my father.  Can you please tell me more about them - most importantly, of course, if they have any value.  Thanks.

Brian, from the information I have available, the shares have no current value.

The Company went through numerous reverse splits (1 for 4, 1 for 1000, and 1 for 34.2631) before ending as SMED International, which was acquired in 2001 for $24 cash per share. Since you started with only 239 shares, the certificate would have been wiped out by the numerous reverse splits long before the buyout. However, you can always check the missing property offices to see if perhaps they rounded up in the reverse splits (highly unlikely) and $24 for 1 share was turned over to the government - and
