Canadian Stocks/Old Certifitates - Insulite Explorations Inc

Mr Taylor,

I have some old stock certificates from Insulite Explorations Inc that date back to 1983. The company was incorporated in the province of Ontario and the stock was issued by National Trust Company in Toronto.

I was wondering if they are worth anything and if so how to go about cashing them in.

thank you for your help.

Chris, from the information I have available, the company had a 1 for 4 reverse split and became Northampton Group. Northampton is not only still around, they are actually profitable. They own hotels across eastern Canada. The stock currently trades for about 80 cents per share on the TSX Venture Exchange.

You will need to contact the current transfer agent,, to determine if you old certificate is valid and, if so, have it reorganized into the new shares which you will be able to sell.
