Question
I have 44 common shares from Turbo Resources ltd purchased in 1980 and 1981 How do I see if they have any value today .They are on 4 stock common shares certificates They were transfered to my name by Canada Trust Agency at the mentioned dates,

Answer
Garth, from the information I have available, Turbo did a 1 for 10 reverse split and became Canadian Turbo before being acquired in 1996 for $3.96 cash per share. You should have received a check for your shares at that time. If you did not, it would have been turned over to the government for safekeeping. You will need to search the missing property offices of every State or Province in which you lived from the date of the certificates until the takeover in 1996. You can search many of them online for free at www.missingmoney.com and www.naupa.org.
