Canadian Stocks/Gold mine shares

We have found shares in the name of Grull-Wihksne gold mines Ltd, Gradore mines Ltd Yukeno Mines Ltd and also American Leduc Petroleum Ltd. Any idea if any of these are still valid shares ? Thanks

Irene, from the information I have available:

Grull has no current value. The Company was dissolved in the 1950's.

Gradore and Yukeno are the same company. Yukeno was acquired by Gradore, but Gradore was dissolved in the early 1970's. No current value.

American Leduc was acquired by Veteran Resources in 2003 for 23 cents per share cash. The registered holder should have received a check at that time. If not, the money would have been turned over to the government for safekeeping. That money may still be available, but only if you are the registered holder or can prove ownership of the shares through legal transfer. You need to search the missing property offices of every State or Province in which the holder lived from the time the shares were first acquired until the takeover in 2003. You can search many of them online for free at and (check both - they have different information). Search using the name exactly as it appears on the certificate, even if it is misspelled or abbreviated.
