Question
Hi,
I have an old share certificate and the Prudential Trust Company is the transfer agent & registrar. The cert is for shares in Northcal Oils Limited, is registered under the companuees act of the Province of Alberta and is dated October 4, 1956. I haven't been able to get any info on the company and can't seem to reach the transfer agent because they don't exist anymore.
Any help you can provide would be very helpful.
Thanks alot.

Answer
Tracey, from the information I have available, Northcal went through numerous name changes and reverse splits (1 for 10, 1 for 2, and another 1 for 10) and ended as Buckingham International Holdings. Buckingham was cease-traded by the Province of Alberta in 1993, and that order remains in effect. Therefore, there is no current value for the stock.
