Canadian Stocks/Pluton Uranium Mines Limited and Beattie-Duquesne Mines Limited

Are these stock certificates worth anything?  I have 2 Pluton Uranium Mines Limited stock certificates, one for 100 shares purchased in 1954, and one for 400 shares purchased in 1955.  I also have 2 Beattie-Duquesne Mines Limited stock certificates- one for 300 shares purchased in 1962, and one for 100 shares purchased in 1963.  Any information that you can provide would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks, Barbara

Barbara, from the information I have available:

Pluton has no current value. The Company was dissolved in the mid-1960's.

Beattie had a 1 for 20 reverse split, then was later acquired by Fundy Chemical on the basis of 1 Fundy for every 2 old shares. Fundy was later wound up in 1977 and shareholders received $1.42 cash per share at that time. Based on the reverse splits, the registered holder should have received a check for $14.20 in 1977.
