Canadian Stocks/mining shares

Question
I have found two stock certificates, each worth 100 shares in the Southern Arizona Mining and Smelting Corporation. The certificates are countersigned and registered with Guaranty Trust Company of Canada(1988) and are in my deceased mother and father's name. Are you able to tell me the present value of these shares and whether or not I am able to trade them in. Your input would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Owen

Answer
Owen, from the information I have available, the shares have no current value. The Company had a 1 for 48 reverse stock split and changed its name to Unirom Technologies. Unirom was suspended, delisted and cease-traded in 2000/2001, and those cease-trade orders remain in effect.
