Canadian Stocks/TJN Industries

In one of your answers you say that TJN ceased trading in 1983. How then can a stock certificate be issued in 1988 for TJN Industries ? I appreciate your time in responding to my question.
Thank you.

Janice, when a company had been prohibited from trading for a long period of time, the brokerage firms that kept the shares in an account want to get rid of them. One way to do that is have the certificates issued and sent to the client just in case the stock ever resumes trading. It is very likely that is what happened here.
