Question
I have a certificate for 60 "non-assessable shares" of the "capital stock" of The Mining Corporation of Canada, Limited, dated March 1959.  Internet searches indicate that this company was bought out by Falconbridge, which was later purchased by Xstrata.  Does the certificate have any value?

Answer
Steve, from the information I have available, the information you have is correct. Mining Corporation was acquired by Noranda in 1963. Noranda went through many changes and became Falconbridge, then Xstrata.

You will need to contact Xstrata's current transfer agent to determine if the old certificate has any value. You can find that information on Xstrata's website.
