Question
I have 25 shares of MacMillian Blodel and Powell River company limited bought in 1962. They were found in the back of a safe at a legal firm after a fire. They have a registration number but it does not look like a cusip number. Do they have any value?

Answer
MacMillian Blodel was acquired in 1999 by Weyerhaeuser in a stock deal. MacBlo shareholders received 0.28 of a Weyerhaeuser share for each share of MacBlo owned.

The only one who can determine if the old certificate has any current value is the Weyerhaeuser transfer agent, Computershare (www.computershare.com). If it does, it would have been transferred to Weyerhaeuser in the name of the registered holder.
