Was Trans-Western Oils Limited taken over by another company and are the shares still viable?

Maxine, from the information I have available, Trans-Western was acquired by Acroll Oil and Gas in the 1960's. Western shareholders received 1 Acroll share for every 2.08 Western shares. Acroll had a 1 for 4 reverse split before amalgamating with 2 other companies to form Trans-Canada Resources on the basis of 1 new share for every 2.3 old shares. In 1988, the company had a 1 for 10 reverse split and became Consolidated Trans-Canada. That final reverse split should have wiped out your original 20 shares.
