Canadian Stocks/Old Canadian Mining Shares

Old Mining Share Certificates found with my Canadian grandfather's estate papers.
Hoping you can help:
1000 Shares - Cassiar Yukon Gold Mines Ltd.  1951 (BS)
1000 Shares - Conjuror Bay Silver Mines Limited  1933
500 Shares - Peace River placers Ltd. 1955  (Alberta)
1 Share - Alscope Consolidated Ltd. 1962 (Alberta)
500 Shares - Nesbitt LaBine Uranium Mines Limited 1955

Catherine, from the information I have available:

Cassiar has no value. The Company was dissolved in the early 1960's.

I have no information on Conjuror Bay Silver, although 1933 predates much of the information I have available. I suggest you try contacting the Province of Incorporation or a broker to see if they have any information on the stock.

Peace River Placers has no value. The Company was struck from the corporate register and dissolved in the mid-1970's.

Alscope Consolidated had a series of reverse splits which would have wiped out the single share on the certificate. No value.

Nesbitt had several name changes at a 1 for 80 reverse split. The Company eventually went private and shareholders ultimately received 75 cents per share in the late 1970's. Your grandfather should have received a $4.50 check for his shares at that time.
