Question
I have some share certificates for this Canadian mining company that existed in 1965.  They were in my mother's estate.  What has become of it?

Answer
Bob, I have been asked about Mount Pleasant quite a few times, which suggests there are a lot of certificates floating around out there. Unfortunately, I have no information on the stock at all. I believe it was incorporated in Ontario, so you might want to contact the Province's Incorporation section and see if they have any information on the Company's fate. If there is a transfer agent listed on the certificate, you can contact them as well, as they will know if the shares have any value. You could also take the certificate to a broker and ask them to perform a more detailed search for you.
