Question
I have found a certificate dated 12 April 1967 for 500 paid up non assessable shares for this company amongst my late husbands papers. It is in the name of Twentieth Century Investments Ltd, countersigned by the Guaranty Trust Company of Canada. Is it worth anything and if so how would I go about redeeming them. I now live in England.

Answer
Gladys, from the information I have available, the Company went through numerous name changes and reverse splits (1 for 4, 1 for 5, 1 for 5 and 1 for 5) and is now ProPhotonix, which trades for about 3 cents per share. Based on the reverse splits, your husband's original 500 shares is now just 1 share. You can confirm this information with the current transfer agent, Computershare (www.computershare.com).
